The 5.56 NATO side includes a 7.5" pistol-length 1:7 twist barrel and a 16" 4150 M4 contour carbine-length barrel with a 1:8 twist, while the AR9 side offers a 4.5" 9mm barrel machined from 416 stainless steel in both 1/2x28 and 1/2x36 thread patterns.

The AR9 barrel is available in 8 finishes beyond plain black stainless, including Gold, Flat Gray, Plum, Copper, Chameleon, Radio Active, Dark Earth and Python. Check the thread pitch, 1/2x28 or 1/2x36, before ordering a compensator or thread protector, since the two patterns are not interchangeable with one another.
